October was a bit of a write off. I was ill for some of it and just generally busy and not getting games played as much as I would have liked. It was really fallow actually now I look at it. Only 4 games played! I did get my Agon campaign wrapped up, and that was brilliant. Going to do a bit of a think about that and put out a post game analysis piece at some point on running that game for 5 people.
Asking for Trobils
I’ve heard of this game a few times but never had a chance to play it. It’s a charming worker placement game with nothing terribly original going on, but that doesn’t make it bad. Had a nice time with it and would play again.
Lords of Vegas
One day this will appear as a Cult of the Old episode. More than that I hope one day it will be much more readily available. A game of avarice, greed, and pushing your luck as far as it will go.
Root
I took up the role of the Corvids once more. I think they may be the most difficult faction to play well, and I haven’t quite managed a win yet. I did a lot better than I have previously and I think I now understand them more than I had previously.
Unexploded Cow
The last time I played this it game out of an envelope and the card quality was laughable. Game was a nonsense, but fun. Its still a nonsense and just as chaotic as I rememeber but now with a fancy new edition and a higher price tag. I wouldn’t recommend it.
I’m hoping November will be a bit more active for gaming and I already have some days lined up for games. I’ll always post these updates, no matter how much, or little, I’ve played.
